From Lincoln to London: Celebrating Graduate Success

A national TV news journalist, a ground-breaking YouTube sensation and an analyst for one of the world’s biggest banks are among the generations of former students from the University of Lincoln, UK, convening in London for an alumni reunion today (Wednesday 13th December 2017).

The reception will welcome more than 100 former Lincoln students from across varying years and academic backgrounds, providing them with the opportunity to celebrate their time at Lincoln, their achievements since graduating, and the University’s recent exciting developments.

Among the attendees will be Thomas Ridgewell, better known as YouTube sensation ‘TomSka’, who has grown a global following of over five million followers across his YouTube channels, Senior BBC Television Director, James Waddell, and BBC News Broadcast Journalist, Chris Gray.

The event will take place in Santander’s UK Head Office in Regent’s Place, London, and will include a speech by Matt Hutnell, Director of Santander Universities UK, who will talk about his career and the company’s strategic partnership with the University of Lincoln.

Attendees will also hear from 2012 graduate and former President of the University of Lincoln Students’ Union, Daniel Sam, who is now an associate in Aviation, Services & Transport at Santander.

The University’s Deputy Vice Chancellor (External Relations), Professor Toby Wilkinson, and academic staff from across the University’s four Colleges will also be attending the event.

All graduates attending the London alumni reception are members of the University of Lincoln Alumni Network, where former students from the University and its predecessor institutions can keep in touch with old friends, as well as the University.
