This is a big week in the calendars of young people across the country who are planning their futures and looking forward to a brighter new year, as the deadline approaches for submitting applications for university places in 2021.
Following the nationwide closure of schools, UCAS, the University and Colleges Admissions Service, has extended their application deadline to 6pm on Friday 29 January 2021.
Emma Jubbs, Assistant Director of Recruitment at the University of Lincoln (UK), said: “The extended deadline will allow students and teachers more time to complete and review their UCAS application.
“There has never been a better time to consider taking the next step in your education. Studying for an undergraduate, or indeed postgraduate, qualification can help you stand out in an increasingly competitive jobs market and to achieve the future you want.
“For anyone considering joining us here in Lincoln at the Modern University of the Year 2021, we will be holding online Live Link-up sessions every evening this week where our dedicated Admissions team will be on hand to try and answer any questions you may have about the admissions process here at the University of Lincoln.
“These live and interactive sessions offer the perfect opportunity to participate in friendly, chatroom-style forums that allow you to ask your questions directly to our team of expert staff and receive answers back in real time.
“After a challenging year for everyone, we can’t wait to welcome our new students to the Brayford Pool Campus this autumn and excitement is already building among those who have already applied and accepted their place.”
This week, the University has brought back its hugely popular ‘Hoodie Love campaign and all new students who have accepted a place to study at Lincoln will receive the gift of a branded hoodie to welcome them to our friendly academic community.
Each year, thousands of new students eager to join the University of Lincoln share their ‘Hoodie Love photos on social media and we want this year to be bigger than ever. Students can use #LincolnHoodieLove to get involved on our official @unilincoln social media accounts on Instagram, Twitter or Facebook.
Emma added: “Our new students have so much to look forward to and we want them to feel excited about this next chapter of their lives, and know that we are here to support them in every stage of their journey, from application through to graduation and beyond.”
There’s no need to pre-register for our live Link-up events, just join the event on the University’s website at the specified time. For full details and to view all of our upcoming events, please visit the what’s on section on our website.
