To celebrate a year since its launch, the Lincoln Live Lounge is back for a new series of inspirational and interactive events for young people with celebrity guests and industry speakers.
The Lincoln Live Lounge has welcomed an array of guest speakers over the past year including radio and TV star Clara Amfo and legendary news reader Jon Snow, and now the University of Lincoln, UK, has unveiled its exciting new line-up for the summer season.
Following his hugely popular first appearance, the UK youth mental health ambassador Dr Alex George is back for the second time to give his insight on how to prepare for University and A-Level results day (5 August).
For animal lovers, the real Dr Dolittle, the University’s very own animal behaviour specialist, Professor Daniel Mills, will be discussing the unique connection between humans and their pets (7 July).
Naturalist and broadcaster Chris Packham CBE will also be back for another appearance on the Live Lounge on 5 August for an in-depth discussion on the global environmental crisis and how we can all help change the world.
For those interested in exploring a Master’s Degree, Farhan Ahmed, Dean of Postgraduate Education at the University of Lincoln, will be talking about how to make the most of a Master’s degree on 30 June.
Elly Sample, Director of Communications, Development and Marketing at the University of Lincoln, said: “Our Lincoln Live Lounge series has let us to bring audiences together with brilliant guest speakers representing a whole spectrum of different industries and interests through live, interactive livestreams you can take part in from your laptop, tablet or mobile phone. We can’t wait to kick off the summer season.”
The Lincoln Live Lounge takes place on selected dates and times throughout the week, and is free to join online. Audience members can pose questions directly to guests through social media and YouTube. Each session is also available to watch again through the Lincoln on Demand online platform.
