Congratulations to our Director of the Centre for Culture and Creativity, Sukhy Johal MBE, who has this week been reappointed onto the Arts Council England’s National Council and continues in his role as Chair of the Midlands Area.
Sukhy originally took up the role in December 2017 and will now be in position until November 2025. He has over 25 years experience in our region in a range of senior roles.
Sir Nicholas Serota, Chair of Arts Council England, said:
“Arts Council England enormously welcomes the re-appointment of Sukhy Johal as Chair of the Midlands Area Council and a member of National Council.
“His four-years’ experience and sound judgement will reinforce our commitment towards creating an ever-more dynamic and diverse creative and cultural sector.
“This is a key period of investment for the Arts Council and Sukhy will play a leading role in helping our Area and National Councils to nurture and support the further development of our world-leading cultural sector”
Sukhy Johal MBE, Director of the Centre for Culture and Creativity at the University of Lincoln said:
