University Contributions to United Nations Sustainable Development Goals
As part of our ongoing commitment to fairness, equality and sustainability, the University of Lincoln proudly supports the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals.
These are a series of 17 goals set out by the United Nations that serve as an urgent call to action for some of the world’s most pressing problems, including poverty, gender inequality, climate action and health and wellbeing.
The University has made a brilliant contribution to each of these goals for the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, across teaching, research and professional services. Everyone at the University has played a part in this contribution to making the world a better place.
Highlights of our contribution to the goals include the work of the Eleanor Glanville Institute on gender and racial equality, our Net Zero Agenda working towards significant carbon reductions, and the ongoing work of LIAT and NCFM pushing for a sustainable future within the food industry.
These have now been submitted to the Times Higher Impact Rankings, and are also available to view in full on the University website.
The current contributions across all areas are from the 2021/22 academic year, but the next round will feature on 2022/23. We would like to thank everyone who has contributed, and are welcoming contributions for next year.
