The University is pleased to announce that Lesley Thompson has been appointed as the new Director of Libraries and Learning Skills, succeeding Ian Snowley who retired early this month.
The University is pleased to announce that Lesley Thompson has been appointed as the new Director of Libraries and Learning Skills, succeeding Ian Snowley who retired early this month.
Lesley brings a wealth of experience to the role, having started her career in libraries 30 years ago before joining the University in 2000, and steps into the role from her previous position as Deputy Director of Libraries.
Speaking about her new role, Lesley said: “I’m delighted and honoured to be appointed the Director of Libraries and Learning Skills at the University of Lincoln. Libraries and their services are at the heart of the student experience and academic journey. I look forward to working and collaborating with students, staff, and colleagues to enhance our services and support teaching and learning.”
Professor Abigail Moriarty, Pro Vice-Chancellor Education & Students, added: “Lesley is an excellent appointment to the University Director of Libraries and Learning Skills, her track record at Lincoln is exemplary and I am delighted that I will personally have the opportunity to work with her and the team to further develop the student experience at Lincoln.”
