TV Star and Naturalist Chris Packham is taking over a university campus to give future students a taste of his hit show and to help them get ahead in all things wildlife, TV and media related.
The University of Lincoln, UK, will welcome its Visiting Professor Chris Packham CBE to the Brayford Pool Campus on Wednesday 4th August 2021 from 10am, where future students can book a free chance to meet Chris in person and get involved in ‘Summer Watch’.
Guests will learn from Chris, Professor Libby John, Head of College of Science at the University, and other amazing academics, in an exciting on-campus experience for anyone who is interested in the environment, natural sciences, biology or animal sciences including wildlife.
Guests will set camera traps for ‘beasts from the Brayford, explore the underwater wildlife living alongside us, and do hands-on lab work.
Chris will also be sharing his top tips on how to get ahead in TV and Media in an exclusive in-person masterclass; essential for anyone interested in studying and working in TV, media and journalism.

Professor Libby John, Pro Vice Chancellor and Head of College of Science, said: “This is a rare and inspirational opportunity, not only to meet Chris Packham but to prepare for a career with wildlife, and to protect and restore nature.

During ‘Summer Watch’ Chris will also be hosting the next instalment of the hugely popular Lincoln Live Lounge, titled ‘You can help to save the planet – what to study to prepare for a career with wildlife, protecting and restoring nature.
The Live Lounge will be available live at 12.30pm on the University of Lincoln website and social media channels and then on Lincoln On-Demand. Chris will be in conversation with Professor Libby John, talking about how to prepare for a life less ordinary and what to study to make a difference and change the world.
