A new campaign supported by Vice Chancellor Professor Mary Stuart has launched today, supporting lifelong access to high-quality education and training.
Taking inspiration from the Lifelong Learning Commission report last year, the Campaign for the Right to Learn are calling for a new statutory right to learn for every UK citizen throughout their lives enabled and backed up by strong funding, information, advice and guidance.
The campaign is supported by vice chancellors, professors and former ministers. It plans to bring together organisations and individuals from across society to advocate for the policies necessary to ensure that everyone is able to access the learning they need when they need it.
University of Lincoln Vice Chancellor, Professor Mary Stuart, said: “High-quality education can be truly transformative both on an individual level and for society as a whole. I’m pleased to be supporting this campaign to establish a right for everyone to be able to access education or training whenever they need it.”
